Yoggie Management Server™ transformed into a VMware-based Virtual Appliance

Unique hardware for managing fleets of award-winning miniature security computers becomes a virtual appliance available via download

Yoggie Security Systems™ today announced that the Yoggie Management Server™ (YMS) - an appliance used by companies to manage their fleets of Yoggie Gatekeeper Internet security devices – can now be downloaded as a VMware-based virtual appliance from www.yoggie.com. The hardware-based version of the management tool will no longer be available.

The YMS enables enterprises to enforce security policies and monitor cyber threats by managing the Yoggie Gatekeeper Internet security devices used by employees. The Gatekeeper Pico™ and Gatekeeper Card™ are miniaturized computers in both USB dongle and ExpressCard form that plug into any laptop, PC or Mac host computer and run a suite of 14 security applications.

With the move to VMware, Yoggie enterprise customers will enjoy significant benefits including vastly increased levels of scalability as well as easier and faster deployment, maintenance, load balancing and backup/restore functionality.  Being able to use existing hardware, rather than purchasing dedicated hardware, customers will also save on capital costs.
